ACBT supplies the biotechnology and production expertise, distribution network and market channels, as well as access to cost-effective raw materials for fertiliser manufacturing. Meanwhile, SSB takes the lead in R&D trials in its oil palm estates, supporting the development and application of effective Oil palm fertilizer solutions, while also providing biomass from oil palm milling and its wood chip production activities.

SSB was incorporated in 1973 under the name “Sabah Softwoods Sdn Bhd” and began operations the following year. The name was later changed to Sabah Softwoods Berhad in 2000. Sabah Softwoods Berhad is owned by Innoprise Corporation Sdn Bhd, the investment arm and holding company of Yayasan Sabah Group. Its core business is in timber and oil palm plantations, while its downstream activities include oil palm milling and woodchip production. These integrated plantation and milling operations also provide valuable resources and expertise for the development of Bio chemical fertilizer and sustainable agricultural solutions.
